Meliar Design has been involved in the development of light weight structures for over 20 years. Initially writing custom software for the aerodynamics, development and patterning of paragliders,  then developing that software for use in the architectural tensile structures field, we have experience in software and hardware for the design, testing and production phases.

 

Our products work inside standard CAD packages, such as AutoCAD, Rhino and DesignCad 3D. This enables the user to leverage his existing skills with a specialized add on package. The package can be series released, such as MPanel; or bespoke developed for a specific customer.

 

Key work areas include:

 

                 MPanel, the tensile structure design package.

                 Paraglider design, airborne testing, and production software.

                 Hang Glider test rig instrumentation and analysis.

                 Traction Kite development and production aids.
